1. 1Intersection Turning Movements

    Turning Movement Counts

Traffic Data Inc uses the COUNTcam system to cost-effectively deliver turning movement counts and also provide the intersection video.  Industry standard turning movement count data is provided for intersection counts in pdf, Petra Pro and/or MS Excel formats.

TDI currently has 55 COUNTcam video recording systems and 7 counting stations.  In TDI’s busiest month, more than 200 turning movement counts were delivered.

  2. 2Videos

    Videos

Using the COUNTcam video system, TDI provides 24 hour videos you can use to do your own data collection/traffic counts.  TDI is typically hired to record intersection operations, but has recorded other infrastructure operations such as rail road crossings, trails, bike lanes and pedestrian crossings.  Video data is provided on returnable USB flash drives.

TDI currently has 55 COUNTcam video recording systems.

  3. 3Daily Volume Counts

    Daily Volume Counts

Pneumatic tube counters are used to provide daily traffic counts over the standard 48-hour weekday period. TDI can also provide longer counts if you need more than 48-hours of data.  The data is emailed to you in pdf and/or MS Excel file formats.  This data is typically collected for MnDOT, Counties, or Cities as required for the State Aid System.  Data can be provided hourly and by direction for an additional fee.

TDI currently has more than 100 pneumatic tube counters for completing volume counts.

  4. 4Speed & Classification Data

    Speed & Classification Data

Pneumatic tube counters are used to provide speed and classification data over the standard 48-hour weekday period.  TDI can also provide longer counts if you need more than 48-hours of data.   The data is emailed to you in pdf and/or MS Excel file formats.  Data is broken down hourly and by direction.

TDI currently has more than 100 pneumatic tube counters for completing speed/classification/volume counts.

  5. 5Specialty Traffic Data

    Specialty Data Collection

Using the COUNTcam video systems, Traffic Data Inc has collected interesting data related to pedestrians, bicycles, train crossings, bus ridership, LRT ridership, snowmobiles, parking utilization, and queues.

TDI is able to collect this type of data very cost-effectively because the video can be watched on a fast forward speed to record the data.  A side benefit of using video cameras instead of data collectors sitting on site is that the cameras don’t effect motorist/bicyclist/pedestrian behavior.

Traffic Data Inc typically collects 24 hour videos for specialty data collection projects, but the COUNTcam system is flexible and can record up to five days of video on a single battery charge.  TDI also has battery booster packs if you need more than five days of video recordings.

TDI currently has 55 COUNTcam units for recording specialty videos.
